ThinkGreenly
Team project · Team project with 8 contributors on each of the frontend and API repositories, both hosted in a collaborator's GitHub account. Key features and Architecture describe the whole team's product; only the section below, My role & contribution, is my own work.
Overview
ThinkGreenly is an idea-sharing platform. Members submit ideas, the community votes on them and discusses them in comments, and admins review each submission before it is published. An idea can also carry a price, which turns the platform into a small marketplace for premium ideas.
- Problem
- On general social media a good idea competes with unrelated posts and distractions, and people often hold back because they expect criticism or worry about what others will say. There is no place built around the idea itself, where it can be presented in full, judged on its merits and, if it is valuable, sold.
- Solution
- ThinkGreenly keeps the focus on ideas. Each idea has a problem statement, a solution and a detail page; other members up-vote or down-vote it and comment on it. Admins approve or reject submissions and manage users, categories and voting. Priced ideas are paid for through an online payment gateway.

My role & contribution
Role: Team member: requirements, UI/UX, voting system and admin tools (frontend and backend)
- Requirement analysis and early project-structure and UI/UX discussions with the team, to settle what problem the product solves
- Proposed the green visual identity, since the product is named ThinkGreenly, and worked on the UI direction and the navigation bar
- Built parts of the idea details page: how an idea's information is shown, and the comment interaction area
- Implemented the voting feature on both frontend and backend: the user voting flow, up-vote and down-vote handling, and the frontend-to-API integration
- Admin dashboard: user management and voting management
- Frontend and backend integrations, bug fixes across the project, and other sections needed to make the product work end to end
