Matrimony Mate

Overview
Matrimony Mate is a Bangladesh-focused matrimonial platform where people publish a biodata profile, browse and filter other profiles, and request a profile's contact information. Admins approve contact requests and premium memberships and see site statistics.
- Problem
- Finding a suitable match is often a slow, informal process. Matrimony Mate gives people a structured biodata profile, with personal details, family details and what they are looking for in a partner, and one place to browse and filter profiles.
- Solution
- Users create a biodata with personal details, occupation, permanent and present division, parents' names and the age, height and weight they expect in a partner. Visitors browse profiles and filter by age range, type and division, and signed-in users can save favourites and request contact information. A contact request is paid through Stripe and then approved by an admin; users can also request premium membership, which an admin approves.

My role & contribution
Role: Full-stack developer
- Built the whole product: the React client and the Express and MongoDB API
- Implemented the biodata creation and browsing flows, favourites, the Stripe payment flow for contact requests and the premium-request workflow
- Built the admin dashboard with statistics, revenue and user management, and the JWT-protected admin routes
- Deployed the client on Firebase Hosting
- Authored all commits in both repositories
